Jane Heider-Samuels *Tenor
Jane, a lifelong singer, has been singing barbershop harmony for over a decade. Jane grew up in Caracas, Venezuela before moving to the Monterey Peninsula with her family. She still lives in the same home she helped her father build in Carmel, California some 50 years ago.
Kristen Thompson *Lead
Lead singer Kristen directs the Monterey Bay Belles Women's Barbershop Chorus and the Cypressaires Men's Barbershop Chorus. She began barbershopping in 'the last century'. Kristen is currently a music educator/performer and has acquired her Masters in Choral Conducting and Bachelors in Percussion Performance. She is an Orff-Schulwerk Certified Level 3 teacher and a Certified Front Line Barbershop Chorus Director. She says she's happy to be quartet singing...instead of just waving her arms.
Alfreda "Eva" McDonald *Bass
Eva often refers to herself as a "music junkie". She is a self-trained musician with the heart of a poet who spent a year, as a street performer, in the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco as a youth. She is delighted to be singing barbershop harmony which allows her to take full advantage of her sometimes bawdy and always outgoing nature!
Also known as the tall one; this six footer's been singing barbershop harmony, by ear, for over 20 years. This is her third group. As a baritone, Laura often gets the leftover notes which suits her just fine... since nobody else wants to sing that part anyway.
